I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I really love Loretta Chase. She writes fairly straight romances that subtly subvert genre tropes.

Everyone warned me off Sandalwood Princess, which is apparently extremely orientalist. I think I threw Captives of the Night against a wall and was bored by Lion's Daughter and Mr. Perfect, but I love pretty much everything else she's done. My favorites are this one and Lord of Scoundrels.

Of course _Lion's Daughter_ is one of the ones still in print and winging its way from Amazon . . . But _Lord of Scoundrels_ is coming back in very soon, so I'm looking forward to that.

I'm bracing myself to not like anything else of Chase's as much, because this was so fun in so many ways, but even half as much will still be a great read.
