I particularly like the "Beloved older characters having adventures, too!", 'cause they are and they do, and the "Extravagant food!", which I found myself noticing much more this time around in these. At least one person on Usenet has already said "I'd buy any book with cover copy that good" (though, to be fair, I think he was already a fan).

And, nooooo, don't stifle that urge, stifling is bad for you...

Okay, not really, since it is in revisions right now. Next best thing: does it have a publication date yet?

Bliss. Got my copy 1 August, 3/4 of the way through it (had to get up at 5 or would have finished it last night). Direly amused by young Morrolan, and by Tazendra's newly developed ability to render Pel speechless.

Finished it last night, still amused and also thinking, "Hm. Well *that* was unexpected." Will spend the next couple of weeks fretting over how long there is to wait for the Thrilling Conclusion (and I expect it to be just that). Am very much wondering who *else* we know (or have heard of) from the Vlad books is going to turn up, and how this is going to end.... For a guy who claims that he doesn't do a lot of planning, Brust is certainly wrapping history up tidily.
